INDUSTRIAL DESIGN LAW

Industrial design law protects the visual design of purely utilitarian objects, focusing on their aesthetic aspects. This includes an object's shape, configuration, pattern, or colour. Here are some key points:

  1. Protection Scope: Industrial design rights cover an article's ornamental or aesthetic aspect, which can be two-dimensional (like patterns or lines) or three-dimensional (like the shape of an object).

  2. Registration: To obtain protection, designs must be registered with the relevant authorities. This can be done through national offices or international systems like the Hague Agreement.

  3. Duration: The protection period varies by jurisdiction but typically lasts up to 25 years with renewal requirements.

  4. Benefits: These rights allow the holder to prevent unauthorized use of the design, providing a competitive edge in the market.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGN PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Industrial design project development involves a series of steps to transform an idea into a tangible, market-ready product. Here’s a general overview of the process:

  1. Research and Analysis: Understanding market needs, target audience, and existing products.

  2. Concept Development: Generating ideas and creating initial sketches or models.

  3. Design Refinement: Developing detailed designs, considering functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability.

  4. Prototyping: Creating prototypes to test and refine the design.

  5. Testing and Feedback: Gathering feedback from users and stakeholders to make necessary adjustments.

  6. Final Design: Finalizing the production design.

  7. Production Planning: Planning the manufacturing process, including materials, production methods, and quality control.

  8. Launch: Introducing the product to the market with a strategic marketing plan.

This process ensures that the final product is visually appealing but also functional and marketable.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGN MARKETING

Industrial design marketing focuses on promoting functional and aesthetically pleasing products. Here are some key strategies:

  1. Showcase Functionality and Design: Highlight the unique features and design elements that set your product apart.

  2. Targeted Advertising: Use data-driven insights to reach the right audience through digital marketing, social media, and industry-specific platforms.

  3. Trade Shows and Expos: Participate in industry events to demonstrate your products and network with potential clients.

  4. Content Marketing: Create engaging content that educates and informs your audience about your product's benefits and applications.

  5. Customer Testimonials: Share success stories and reviews from satisfied customers to build credibility and trust.

These strategies can help you effectively market your industrial design projects and reach a wider audience.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGN DEVELOP FUND

The TDHI Group, through TDHI STARTUP, will make 300,000 euros available for six new projects over the three years 2025. For each accredited project, a development fund of 50,000 euros will be set aside to use TDHI INDUSTRIAL DESIGN's services to develop a new project, which we believe.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGN M&A

Industrial design M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) involves consolidating companies or assets within the industrial design sector. This can lead to significant growth, innovation, and market expansion. Here are some key aspects:

  3. Innovation Boost: Acquisitions can bring fresh ideas, talent, and innovative product design and development approaches.

  4. Market Positioning: M&A can strengthen a company's market position, making it more competitive and resilient.
